Klaus Prior

Sculptures that speak of the drama of the human condition: Klaus Prior at St. Anne’s Church in Augsburg.

Klaus Prior’s wood sculptures are on view at St. Anne’s Church in Augsburg until 13 September 2026. The historic church interior creates a compelling dialogue with the sculptor’s powerful figures.

With the exhibition “Menschenbilder” (“Images of Humanity”), Klaus Prior presents a selection of his powerful and expressive sculptures in one of Augsburg’s most significant sacred spaces. Created from wood, the figures enter into a compelling dialogue with the more than 700-year-old architecture of St. Anne’s Church, opening up new perspectives on humanity, spirituality, and presence. The unique exhibition venue invites visitors to experience the works in a quiet, contemplative atmosphere and to engage deeply with their emotional intensity. The exhibition is on view until 13 September 2026.
