The exhibition “Painting and Sculpture” at Huber Showroom complemented the major retrospective marking Klaus Prior’s 80th birthday with an independent presentation of selected works. Within the distinctive spaces of the art showroom, the artist’s expressive wood sculptures were particularly striking. Klaus Prior and Wolfgang Huber have shared a close friendship for many years, lending the exhibition a personal and intimate quality. A particular highlight was the iron casting of the monumental Pietà, installed in the outdoor area of the showroom, where it can be understood as a powerful memorial against war and violence. Together with the exhibition at the Neues Schloss, it created an exceptional artistic parcours through Kißlegg, allowing visitors to experience Klaus Prior’s diverse body of work from different perspectives.
